Package & Licensing Questions

Do you have a version I can use for my clients businesses?

All Excel accounting template Packages and Licenses are sold for personal/business use for the license holder only. This means you should only use the activation codes provided on businesses that are owned, operated and registered to you.

If you plan on accounting for clients or customers, you must first purchase an Excel accounting template license (SOLO package or above). This will give you access to our Accountant packages – which are priced at €249 for 5 licenses. These activation codes can each be used on a client or customer businesses (as long as our accountant terms are adhered to).

You can purchase as many accountant packs (5 licenses each) as you wish – these will be added to a special area within your own Membership area. Please note your customers/clients will not receive their own logins and you are responsible for supporting their Excel accounting templates (you are of course eligible to ask any questions to our support team).

Can I upgrade my package after purchase?

You can certainly upgrade your package from SOLO to PLUS or PLUS to PRO after you purchase. We provide options to upgrade within the members area after purchase (You will find these on the licensing page).

The cost to upgrade currently is the difference in cost between packages – so €50 to upgrade from SOLO to PLUS for example.

Please do be aware that we are likely to increase the price of upgrading and the price of our packages in the future as we add additional features to the PLUS and PRO packages, so these prices are subject to change at any time.

Product Support & Updates

Do you provide phone support?

In order to provide the best service to all of our customers, we currently provide support via email only.

We’re happy to answer any questions you have via email, and we also find that this is the most effective way to provide technical support due to the detailed nature of many queries we receive. It also ensures we can communicate private and other secure information sometimes required for troubleshooting problems.

Our team of customer happiness specialists are available Monday-Friday to assist with any questions you may have.

You can also get instant access to your questions through our knowledgebase and video tutorials and also find training within our Excel accounting template members area.

What happens after my 1 year inclusive support & updates expires?

All package purchases of the Excel accounting template include 1 year of support, new activation codes and updates. This means during your first year you can email us at any time to get help with issues or questions related to your use of the Excel accounting template.

You will also receive any updates to the Excel accounting template we release, including bug fixes, compatibility updates and new feature additions.

When your inclusive one year is close to expiring, we will let you know and you can renew for another year for a reduced fee if you purchase within 60 days of your original license expiration date. The SOLO package renewal is €47 EUR, the PLUS package renewal is €77 EUR and the PRO package is €97 EUR. After the 60 day window has expired, all renewals are at full package price.

Please note: Although we highly recommend maintaining an up-to-date version of the Excel accounting template, your software licenses will continue to work after your updates license expires until the validation period of your activation code runs out.

We just advise that if there are major changes to laws and regulations or Excel in the future we may be required to release patches for this which would require an active updates subscription to receive.

So, if your license expires, your template will work as it always has, unless something changes with the Excel core itself. You just won’t have access to download the software (template or bonuses), won’t receive new activation codes and product updates and won’t be able to ask our friendly team for support.

Do you provide lifetime support and updates?

We do not offer lifetime support & updates on any of our products. All package purchases (SOLO, PLUS & PRO) include one year of inclusive support, new activation codes and updates. After this time you will have the option to renew your updates license if you wish to continue receiving the latest product updates, new activation codes and be eligible for support (see above for further information).

Using The Software

Do I need Microsoft Excel to use the Excel accounting template?

Yes you do. The Excel accounting templates requires Microsoft Excel 2007 or higer (PC) or Excel 2011 or higher (Mac). Once you have Excel installed on your computer – you are ready to use the Excel accounting template. We recommend using the latest version of Excel, which currently is Excel 2016 or 365.

The Excel accounting template does NOT work with open source software such as OpenOffice, Google spreadsheets or Numbers for Mac.

Do you have a free trial or trial version I can test with?

Yes we do! You can download a trial version you can test on this page. However we also offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of purchase. So we encourage you to give the Excel accounting template a try – and if you find it’s not for you, simply let our friendly support team know within 30 days and we’ll refund you in full.

Can I use the Excel accounting template in my language?

Yes you can. The Excel accounting template has 4 languages pre-installed: English, Dutch, German & French. You can translate the Excel accounting template into your own language by adding it to the Language table in the template.

Other Questions

Do you have an affiliate / referral program?

No, unfortunately the Excel accounting template does not (yet) have an affiliate / referral program that would pay a commission for customers you send our way at the moment.

I might create an affiliates program in the future so feel free to join the Excel Accounting Template Newsletter if (when) that happens.

Are fiscal years supported (e.g. 04/01/2018 - 03/31/2019)?

Yes, the Excel Accounting Template supports fiscal years that deviate from a calendar year. For example, 04/01/2018 – 03/13/2019). April is fiscal month 1 and March is fiscal month 12.
